Swiss Asset Manager Zuri-Invest Adds Tokenized Uranium to Tracker Certificate
The FINMA-regulated Zurich firm says its new Physical Uranium Tracker links a certificate to tokenized uranium holdings via the Tezos-based xU3O8 token.
Zuri-Invest AG, an independent asset manager based in Zurich and supervised by the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA), has announced a Physical Uranium Tracker certificate that uses tokenized physical uranium holdings. The firm said the product is aimed at its private, professional and institutional client base.
The tokenized exposure is provided through xU3O8, a uranium-backed token issued on the Tezos network. According to the announcement, the structure is intended to give investors a way to access physical uranium through a tokenized format rather than through conventional commodity channels.
What the launch involves
- Zuri-Invest is a FINMA-regulated asset manager headquartered in Zurich
- The new product is a Physical Uranium Tracker certificate
- Tokenized holdings are represented by xU3O8 on Tezos
- The offering targets private, professional and institutional clients
The announcement did not disclose the size of the holdings, fee structure, minimum investment, or a specific listing venue for the certificate. It also did not state whether the tokenized component is transferable outside the tracker structure.
Tokenized commodity products form part of a broader push to represent real-world assets on public blockchains, a category that has drawn interest from asset managers seeking new distribution and settlement routes. Whether such structures see meaningful uptake depends on custody arrangements, redemption mechanics and the regulatory treatment of the underlying tokens, details that were not covered in the initial announcement.
