Trump to host crypto executives, CLARITY Act odds drop to 10%
White House meeting set for Aug. 19 with Coinbase, Ripple and a16z reportedly attending.

President Donald Trump is expected to meet with the heads of the SEC and CFTC along with crypto and prediction-market executives at the White House next week, according to reports. The gathering is scheduled for Aug. 19.
Executives from Coinbase, Andreessen Horowitz and Ripple are reportedly among those expected to attend. The meeting comes as the CLARITY Act, widely viewed as the industry's top legislative priority, now has roughly a 10% chance of becoming law this year.
CLARITY Act prospects
The CLARITY Act is intended to clarify which federal agency has authority over digital assets, dividing oversight between the SEC and the CFTC. Recent probability estimates put its enactment in 2025 at approximately 10%, according to the report.
The scheduled White House session suggests the administration remains engaged with industry leaders even as the bill's legislative path narrows.
