Securitize Expects $400M in Cash Ahead of Public Debut
Securitize says less than 30% of shareholders redeemed, leaving it with $400M.

Securitize, a tokenization platform for real-world assets, expects to raise approximately $400 million when it goes public via a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) merger. The company disclosed that less than 30% of shareholders in the acquisition vehicle opted to redeem their shares, a key factor in the expected cash influx.
The SPAC, a blank-check company, typically gives shareholders the right to redeem their shares if they disagree with the merger. A low redemption rate indicates broad support for the deal, allowing Securitize to retain most of the trust's cash. The $400 million figure includes proceeds from the SPAC trust and a concurrent private placement.
Securitize specializes in issuing and managing digital securities on blockchain networks. Its public listing is expected to provide additional capital to expand its platform and pursue strategic initiatives in the growing tokenization market.
