Ripple opens 24/7 institutional stock trading via Ripple Prime
Institutions can use Ripple Prime for round-the-clock equity trading and post RLUSD as collateral, while HSBC flags thin liquidity.

Ripple is giving institutions a way to trade stocks around the clock through Ripple Prime, with RLUSD accepted as collateral, according to CoinDesk. The setup is aimed at bringing Wall Street-style access to markets that do not close.
The arrangement allows institutions to execute trades through Ripple Prime and use RLUSD to support their positions. CoinDesk reported that the service is positioned around always-on stock trading for institutional participants.
Liquidity concerns
HSBC warned that markets may still be thin, according to the report. Finding enough buyers and sellers for large positions could prove harder than executing smaller trades, the bank cautioned.
The move highlights a broader push to connect traditional market hours with always-on crypto infrastructure, while raising questions about whether liquidity can keep pace with round-the-clock access.
