Kraken parent Payward links with Singapore Gulf Bank for round-the-clock dollar rails
Payward's connection to SGB Net enables 24/7 US-dollar funding in eligible jurisdictions, with customer-trade pricing planned for the coming months.

Payward, the parent company of the crypto exchange Kraken, has joined Singapore Gulf Bank, giving it access to SGB Net, the bank's infrastructure for round-the-clock US-dollar funding.
According to the announcement, the connection supports 24/7 dollar funding in eligible jurisdictions, allowing institutional clients to move and settle funds outside conventional banking hours.
The two firms also said SGB customer-trade pricing is planned for the coming months. No specific dates, fee levels, or the list of eligible jurisdictions were disclosed.
Why the timing matters
Crypto markets trade continuously, but the dollar banking system that many institutions rely on has historically operated on business-day windows. Partnerships between exchanges and licensed banks are one route firms have taken to reduce that mismatch.
The arrangement follows a broader pattern of crypto companies building ties with regulated banking partners in jurisdictions such as Singapore and the Gulf. The practical effect will depend on which clients qualify and when the pricing component goes live.
