BitMine Reports 22x Revenue Surge, $9.1B Net Loss on ETH Write-Down
BitMine Immersion Technologies posts $46.5M revenue, but $9.1B loss from non-cash Ethereum markdown.
BitMine Immersion Technologies reported revenue of $46.5 million for the three months ended May 31, a 22-fold increase from the same period a year earlier, according to a filing. However, the company also disclosed a net loss of $9.1 billion over the trailing nine months.
The loss is almost entirely attributable to a non-cash markdown on the company’s Ethereum (ETH) holdings. Excluding this impairment, BitMine's underlying operations show growth.
Underneath the headline figures, BitMine’s staking business has scaled significantly, contributing to the revenue jump. The company continues to expand its mining and staking infrastructure.
