Bitcoin Long-Term Holders Resume Accumulation After 12 Days of Selling
Long-term holders added 5,912 BTC on July 11-12, reversing a 12-day selling trend.
Bitcoin long-term holders (LTHs) have resumed buying after a 12-day period of net selling, on-chain data shows. On July 11 and 12, LTHs added a net 5,912 BTC to their holdings, according to metrics from Glassnode.
The shift ends a streak of distribution that began in late June. Despite the accumulation, Bitcoin's price slipped 2% over the same period, trading around $58,000 at the time of writing.
Context: LTH Behavior as a Market Signal
Long-term holders are defined as wallets that have held coins for at least 155 days. Their accumulation patterns are often watched as a sign of conviction during price pullbacks. The recent buying, while small in scale, suggests that a subset of patient investors view current levels as attractive.
Market observers caution that two days of data do not confirm a sustained trend. The selling prior to July 11 may reflect profit-taking after Bitcoin's rally earlier this year.
