Bitcoin Drops Back Below $85,000 as Glassnode Flags Weak Volume
BTC retreated under $85,000 days after its first daily close above it, with Glassnode citing thin volume and Binance buy orders clustered near $81,000.
Bitcoin traded back below $85,000 this week, only days after posting its first daily close above that level. The pullback returned the price to its prior range rather than extending the breakout.
On-chain analytics firm Glassnode said the move lower came on weak trading volume, with fresh capital entering the market only gradually. Light participation means relatively small orders can shift prices more easily.
Binance buy orders cluster at $81,000
- Bitcoin closed above $85,000 on a daily basis for the first time before slipping back under it
- Glassnode attributed the decline to subdued trading volume
- The same data indicates new capital is arriving slowly
- Glassnode identified $81,000 as the next level to watch, where the largest buy orders sit on Binance
Order book clusters mark prices where resting bids are concentrated, though such orders can be filled, moved or withdrawn at any time. Glassnode's note points to a level worth monitoring rather than a confirmed direction for price.
