BingX EU Secures MiCA License From Austria's FMA, Opening EEA Access
The exchange's European entity, MEGE zweite GmbH, has been authorised under MiCA by Austria's Financial Market Authority, allowing services across the 29-country EEA.

BingX's European arm, MEGE zweite GmbH, has obtained a Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA) licence from Austria's Financial Market Authority (FMA), the company announced. The authorisation allows the platform to offer regulated crypto services across the 29 countries of the European Economic Area, subject to ongoing passporting arrangements.
The licence places BingX EU inside the EU's MiCA regime, which establishes a single set of rules for crypto-asset service providers covering areas such as custody, exchange services and disclosure to customers. Passporting allows a firm authorised in one member state to operate in others without seeking a separate approval in each jurisdiction.
Key details
- Licensed entity: MEGE zweite GmbH (BingX EU)
- Regulator: Austria's Financial Market Authority
- Framework: Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA/MiCAR)
- Reach: services across 29 EEA countries under passporting
MiCA authorisations have become a common route for exchanges seeking EU-wide access, with national regulators issuing licences that can then be used across the bloc. Firms operating under the framework remain subject to host-state supervisory requirements and ongoing compliance obligations as they expand.
